Ocean Sciences Meeting 2024 – New Orleans, Louisiana, 2024 Ocean Voices Fellows, Kalene Eck and Maila Guilhon, attended Ocean Science Meeting in April 2024. Both attendees participated in events, sharing insights and perspectives on a range of topics, including the fostering of partnerships in the Ocean Decade and increasing collaboration in ocean science research. Ocean Voices Makes Waves at UN Ocean Decade Conference Ocean Voices was present at the recent United Nations Ocean Decade Conference in Barcelona, Spain, through its active participation, leadership in hosting events, and commitment to fostering collaborative partnerships in pursuit of a sustainable and equitable ocean future. Blue Leaders High Level Meeting Brussels March 2024 Ocean Voices Fellows, Vanessa Lopes and Sheena Talma, recently participated in the Blue Leaders meeting focusing on the ratification and implementation of the BBNJ agreement. Developing the Plastics Treaty at INC-3 Ocean Voices Fellows, Gemma Nelson and Kathryn Audroing, recently participated in INC-3 in Nairobi to develop an international legally binding instrument on plastic pollution.
